Hello St. Philippians!

Almighty and everliving God, we humbly pray that, as your
only-begotten Son was this day presented in the temple, so
we may be presented to you with pure and clean hearts by
Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you and the
Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Get excited! Our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper is just around the corner on 2/13! There will not only be pancakes and sausage (cooked by St. Philip’s own Men’s Group) but also a kids’ parade and the burning of the palms in preparation for Ash Wednesday. Feel free to bring some friends! (Once again, the supper will be a fundraiser for our children’s ministry. A suggested donation of $5/person or $15/family is encouraged.)

Ash Wednesday Imposition

Ash Wednesday falls on February 14th this year. We will recognize this solemn beginning of Lent together with services of the imposition of ashes at noon and 7 pm.

Episcopal 101 Classes

Episcopal 101 classes will continue this Sunday after the service. Please gather back in the Nave at 11 am. Mother Caroline will be leading this class for the next 3 weeks. Everyone is welcome to attend. For those who are interested in being confirmed, received, or reaffirming their faith when the bishop visits on March 17th, this class will be part of your preparation.
